mValent Appoints James F. Crowley
as Vice President of Sales

Brings Significant Expertise in Enterprise Software Sales and a Track Record of Success in Driving Revenue for Emerging Technology Companies

Burlington, MA – December 12, 2005 – mValent, the leader in automated application configuration management software, today announced the appointment of veteran technology sales executive James F. Crowley as vice president of sales. Crowley brings more than 20 years’ experience in driving rapid sales growth for emerging technology companies, with particular expertise in enterprise software.

Since September, when Forgione joined mValent as President and CEO, the company has achieved several milestones. The company secured a third round of funding from top-tier investors Charles River Ventures, IDG Ventures and Polaris Venture Partners; expanded its distribution channel by signing leading systems integrators Prolifics and CIG; and delivered mValent Integrity, an automated solution to a pressing enterprise IT issue – configuring the applications infrastructure that supports vital business applications.

As mValent’s vice president of sales, Crowley will be responsible for defining the company’s sales strategy, expanding direct and indirect sales initiatives and securing new customers. He joins mValent after more than 20 years’ service as a senior sales executive with technology companies, contributing to their revenue growth and in some cases ultimate acquisition. Crowley has held top revenue-producing positions at Imperva, Authentica, Aptrix and Eprise.
