mValent Validates Integrity with BEA WebLogic to Automate Application Configuration Management
Technology Alignment Designed to Enable Cost and Risk Reduction and Compliance with IT Audit Requirements for WebLogic Customers
Burlington, MA – March 27, 2006 – mValent, a leader in automated application configuration management software, today announced a technology alliance with BEA Systems, Inc., a world leader in enterprise infrastructure software. Based on the successful completion of BEA WebLogic 8.1 Platform validation testing, enterprises can now use mValent Integrity with BEA WebLogic to integrate and automate configuration, change and release management to help reduce costs, increase availability and help ensure compliance with IT audit requirements for business applications.
mValent Integrity can automate the manual, error-prone tasks and processes required to configure and maintain the infrastructure supporting business applications. Using Integrity, IT managers responsible for supporting applications built on BEA WebLogic Platform 8.1 can gain an unprecedented level of secure, automated knowledge of the infrastructure assets underlying applications, control changes to these assets and release updates. mValent Integrity supports IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes for configuration, change and release management and provides rich change audit reporting for ensuring regulatory compliance.
“The advantage of an advanced application platform such as BEA WebLogic is that it is designed to enable the rapid development of rich applications to support complex business problems,” said Swapnil Shah, mValent’s senior vice president of strategy and business development. “Along with this advantage, IT is faced with managing change across the distributed infrastructure while supporting these business applications. mValent Integrity can enable IT departments to get the full benefit of BEA WebLogic while helping IT managers address the errors, unplanned downtime and lost productivity associated with manual configuration management.”
The rigorous BEA Validation Program provides a testing framework to verify the technical capabilities of partner solutions to complement and extend the BEA WebLogic Platform. Partners can validate the integration of their software solutions with the BEA WebLogic Platform and ensure that the two products are designed to work effectively together to solve real customer problems.
“We’re pleased that mValent is participating in the BEA Partner Program and has taken the extra step to validate mValent Integrity with the BEA WebLogic Platform,” said Larry Aronovitz, Director Worldwide Partner Program, BEA Systems. “BEA’s validation program is designed to assure our mutual customers that the combined BEA and mValent solution works properly together and provides the optimum business benefits.”
