mValent Named to Network World’s “Ten Automation Companies to Watch” List

mValent Integrity Recognized For Helping IT Move Closer Toward Fully Automated IT Operations

Burlington, Mass. – June 27, 2007 – mValent, Inc., a leading provider of automated IT configuration management solutions for managing application infrastructure, announced today that it has been named to Network World‘s list of “10 Automation Companies to Watch.” The companies selected by Network World, a leading enterprise technology publication, are recognized for delivering automation technologies designed to help IT managers move toward fully automated IT operations. The publication currently features the companies and the technologies they offer in the June 25 edition.

The companies were selected by enterprise systems industry veteran and Senior Editor for Network World, Denise Dubie, in conjunction with leading industry analysts. In her article, Dubie takes a look at many aspects of mValent including its management team, its primary business, why it’s worth watching, how it started, its funding, and how it got its name.

Dubie acknowledges that configuration management underlies multiple IT functions. Automating the detection of changes made to configurations and having a model of ideal application state at the ready will speed the process of rolling out new application environments, she asserts.

“We are honored to have been named as one of only ten automation companies that NetworkWorld chose to recognize as a company to watch,” said Joe Forgione, president and CEO of mValent, Inc. “It is a validation and tribute to the tremendous success and market acceptance that mValent and our industry-leading automated configuration management solutions have enjoyed to date.”

mValent Integrity enables IT teams to capture the current state of configuration settings for IT assets, monitor them for authorized and unauthorized changes, and automate processes for provisioning changes and setting up new environments throughout the application lifecycle – from development, testing and through production. The result is greater application uptime, fewer IT fire drills and simplified compliance with industry best practices and regulatory mandates.
